As the largest Oregon based arts and culture organization in the Mid-Columbia region both in terms of programming and facility, Columbia Arts strives to expand the impact of culture and humanities on the community by presenting a wide-variety of programs. They offer a diverse menu of programming including, lectures, speakers, live performance, workshops, and art shows that impact every segment of the community.

These different programs have drawn broad and diverse audiences from throughout our region. We are confident that the Mt. Hood Independent Film Festival will be educational, entertaining, and will engage a broad section of community members. They currently offer a monthly film series and are now expanding into a film festival to be presented yearly.

The Mt. Hood Independent Film Festival seeks to bring films of multiple genres including narrative, animation, documentary, and sports documentary to the community of Hood River, OR and the Columbia River Gorge area. The Film Festival also seeks to provide a venue to screen films from around the world which otherwise would not be seen in this area.

The Film Festival will dedicate a portion of programming specifically to independent films made in the North West in an effort support local film makers. Full Sail is a proud sponsor of this event and will be pouring our beers all weekend! The Film Festival will dedicate a portion of the program to films made by high school age film makers with a special emphasis on local films made by high school students.
